A huge number of entertainment attractions that will surprise visitors to Qatar during the World Cup

The nationwide festival will include more than 90 special events that will take place on the pitches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

DOHA: During this year’s FIFA World Cup™, which runs from November 20 to December 18, Qatar will host a wide range of cultural and entertainment activities for the whole family.

The nationwide festival will include more than 90 special events taking place on the grounds of the tournament, which marked its 100-day countdown today. Highlights will include viewing venues, music festivals, cultural exhibitions and street performances.

The country’s main entertainment offering during the FIFA World Cup™ will be the Corniche, with a carnival-like atmosphere along the 6km route that stretches from the Sheraton Hotel to the Islamic Art Museum Park. It will host traveling performances, cultural events, food and drink stalls and retail outlets. More than 120,000 people will be able to visit the Corniche at peak times.

Fans attending the matches will experience plenty of entertainment near all eight stadiums. The Last Mile cultural activation will include more than 6,000 performances in 21 locations. Special highlights will include visual arts, crafts and heritage, fashion and design, performance, music and film screenings.

Outside the stadiums, football fans gather for the FIFA Fan Festival at Al Bidda Park, where every match will be broadcast live, as well as stage performances, food and beverage outlets, cultural events and sponsor activations.

The FIFA Fan Festival will open on November 20 and will be able to host up to 40,000 visitors. In addition, fan zones will be located in the Industrial Zone and Al Khor. More details will be announced soon.

Fans will be able to enjoy the theme park rides and other attractions at Al Maha Lusail Island, including ice skating and circus performances. There will also be a beach club and a variety of food and beverage options, including both upscale and casual restaurants. Al Maha Lusail Island will also host a series of concerts and performances for people of all ages.

Music lovers will also be well served during the tournament. The Arcadia Spectacular dance music festival will be held near the Ras Bu Fontas metro station and will welcome up to 15,000 fans, while another music event organized by MDLBEAST will take place in Al Wakrah and is set to attract 5,000 fans.

Another tourist attraction will be the 974 Beach Club, located near the 974 Stadium, which will offer music, entertainment, dining and drinks, as well as retail seating for up to 10,000 guests. In addition, Lusail Boulevard, located near the stadium that will host the FIFA World Cup™ final, will host street performances for approximately 50,000 people each day.

In addition, a variety of cultural and entertainment events will be available to fans at key tourist destinations in the country, including museums, Souq Waqif, Qatar Cultural Village and Doha Msheireb City Centre.
