Roadrunner fans of all ages can take part in free pre-game festivities at Rowdy Town, including a DJ, inflatable obstacle course, interactive games, demonstrations, food and drink samples.

UTSA Alumni Association’s Roadrunner Nation Tailgate
11:30 a.m., Hoefgen Lot (499 Hoefgen Ave.)

The UTSA Alumni Association invites fans to the official Roadrunner Nation Tailgate. Enjoy food, drinks, entertainment and giveaways, plus visits from UTSA Cheer, the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and Rowdy the Roadrunner. Several Roadrunner Nation Tailgate ticket packages are available. Blue tickets are $20 and include a food and ticket ticket. Orange tickets are $45 and include a food ticket and open bar privileges. An all-inclusive pass is also available this week for just $200.

Tickets are $10 for students ages 13-20, which includes a meal and soft drink ticket. Children under 12 enter for free. Discounts are also available to members of the UTSA Alumni Association.

A walk of the spirit
12:15 p.m., Alamodome, Roadrunner Alley (between Sections B and C)

This exciting tradition gets Roadrunner fans and the UTSA team fired up for the game. Join the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and UTSA Spirit Squads as they escort the team down Roadrunner Alley and into the Alamodome approximately two hours before each home game. Fans can line the track between parking lots B and C of the Alamodome to support the team.

Tailgate for UTSA students
1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., Alamodome, Hall of Fame Club (North End of Club Level)

The UTSA Student Indoor Tailgate is where students go to socialize, cool off and cheer before the game. DJ Wynkoop and QuickStrike Entertainment will provide fun and excitement before kickoff. Free food and beverages will be available while supplies last, and prizes such as game concession vouchers and UTSA apparel will be given away. On each game day, different UTSA colleges and departments will be highlighted to connect students to important resources.



Tickets are available by phone or text at 210-458-UTSA (8872) or at UTSA has transitioned to digital tickets through an account manager. All students currently enrolled at UTSA are eligible for free admission to all home football games. UTSA students may purchase up to four guest tickets for the student sections.

For sellouts, the Southwest Alamodome box office will open at 10 a.m. Saturday, and all other Alamodome box offices will open at noon. Customer service windows are located at the northeast and southeast cash registers.

Game day parking and drop off

Parking in lots A, B and C of the Alamodome is limited to fans who have already purchased permits. A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For those with valid parking passes, lots will open at 8am. Please DO NOT enter before 8am or staff will ask you to vacate your seats and re-enter when the grounds open. There are several paid public parking lots around the Alamodome.

Alamodome parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Saturday. Visit UTSA Athletics online for more information and directions to the city of San Antonio. The meeting of the student organization begins at 10:30

Starting the game

Students and their guests can park outside UTSA’s main campus and take a UTSA bus to the game at the North Paseo Bus Oval, near the North Paseo Building. Shuttles will begin service to the Alamodome at 11:30 am. The last shuttle to the game will leave campus at 2:00 p.m. Students will be dropped off and picked up at the Robert Thompson Transit Station in the Alamodome. Buses will begin returning to UTSA early in the fourth quarter, and the last shuttle bus from the Alamodome will depart one hour after the game ends.

VIA announced it will serve UTSA home football games. VIA’s Park & ​​Ride service offers a round trip to the Alamodome for just $2.60. All UTSA home games will be served from the Crossroads Park & ​​Ride beginning three hours prior to the game, with return service running one hour after each game. Park & ​​Ride fares are $1.30 one way with discounts for children, seniors, students and military. Purchase tickets in advance in the VIA goMobile+ app, which can be downloaded for free on Apple and Android devices. Cash and credit cards are accepted on game day at the Crossroads Park & ​​Ride location.

UTSA students can use their U-Pass for service at the game. VIAtrans customers and children under 5 ride for free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service. VIA Day, 7-Day and 31-Day Passes are valid for special event service.

The rideshare drop-off location is located in Parking Lot D next to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center at the corner of Montana Street and Tower of the Americas Way.

Entrance to the Alamodome

Please enter the stadium early to avoid long queues. Doors open for visitors at 1:00 p.m. Fans should review the Alamodome’s clean bag policy before entering the stadium, including a list of permitted bags. Fast lanes will be available at security checkpoints for those without luggage. Before going to the scanners, take out your keys, phone and wallet. Please pull out your tickets or download them to your phone with the screen brightness turned all the way up before you get to the door.

Seating of students

Student seating is general admission to sections 122-131. To increase student attendance, sections 220-226 at the club level will also be open to students. The band Spirit of San Antonio will occupy sections 127-128.

UTSA gear

Fans can purchase the latest UTSA apparel and accessories at the Rowdy Campus Store, which will be located in Lot B near Roadrunner Alley. Merchandise counters are also located inside the Alamodome on the Plaza Level near Sections 106 and 118.


Television and radio broadcasting

Stadium TV (KMYS-DT 35.3 in the San Antonio area) will carry Saturday’s game. Josh Appel along with the analyst will provide a step-by-step commentary Sed Bonner.

The radio broadcast will air live on Ticket 760 AM in the San Antonio area and SiriusXM program channel 982. Andy Everett (game by game), Jay Riley (analyst) and Pat Evans (reporter) will cause the action. The pregame show will begin at 12:30 p.m., and there will be a 45-minute postgame show.
