With MSSP in mind, XONA and Nozomi Networks are forming a technology partnership

A new partnership between XONA and Nozomi Networks aims to help critical infrastructure operators accelerate digital transformation through improved security and zero-trust principles, the companies announced.

XONA is best known for its “end-to-end user access platform purpose-built for critical infrastructure,” while Nozomi Networks is a specialist in operational technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) security.

By integrating their technologies, XONA and Nozomi Networks offer organizations “advanced tools to remotely manage the security of operational technologies and industrial control systems from anywhere and from any device.”

What the partnership means for MSSP

XONA founder and CEO Bill Moore shared with MSSP Alert the partnership’s impact on the MSSP community:

“Given the shortage of qualified cybersecurity professionals, MSSPs working with critical infrastructure operators play an important role in ensuring the safety and security of facilities. But in order to apply their expertise to many organizations and institutions, secure remote access is vital. By working together to pre-integrate the XONA and Nozomi platforms, we make it incredibly easy for MSSPs who rely on Nozomi to secure OT, ICS and IoT, from anywhere, with seamless access and Zero Trust security.

“With the XONA platform at their disposal, service providers and their customers will also have the ability to manage other critical infrastructure, including their operational technology and other cybersecurity tools.”

Moore noted that critical infrastructure around the world is under increasing threat and must be modernized to realize the benefits of digital transformation:

“As with many other industries, there are many reasons for industrial enterprises to adopt new technologies, from the value and business efficiency they bring to meeting the need for a highly skilled workforce that is often overstretched. Nozomi Networks has been a leader in OT and IoT security for many years, and combining our technologies will provide the new dimensions of security and availability our customers need to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving environment.”

Nozomi Networks solutions support more than 74 million devices in thousands of installations in the energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation, utilities, building automation, smart cities and critical infrastructure industries, according to a prepared statement. With pre-integrated and proven solutions that reduce time to market and increase value, the combination of Nozomi Networks and XONA technology solves the complex challenge of providing remote access in critical infrastructures.

Chet Nambudry, Senior Vice President of Partner Alliances at Nozomi Networks, explained the benefits of partnering with XONA:

“A big part of helping organizations modernize their critical infrastructure is providing access to users from anywhere and on any device. This is important for any business in the 21st centurySt Century, and industrial facilities are no different. Adding users to critical infrastructure is not easy. It is usually too expensive and complex or vulnerable to attack. But XONA has figured out how to make user access seamless and secure. The integration of our technologies provides tremendous value for our mutual customers.”

XONA, Nozomi Expand MSP, MSSP Partnership Program

In July 2022, XONA expanded its MSP and MSSP partner program by adding its first international partner, South Korea’s Pago Networks. As an MSSP and value-added reseller (VAR), Pago has integrated the XONA solution into its DeepACT managed detection and response (MDR) service.

In 2021 Launch of Nozomi Networks its MSSP Elite program for OT and IoT security managed services, providing partners with resources they can use to integrate, sell and support Nozomi solutions as part of a complete managed services offering.

In addition, MSSP Elite provides partners with access to training and certification so they can learn how to use network visibility, monitoring and threat intelligence to support their customers.
